We offer at-home teeth whitening under the professional supervision of a dentist. The treatment includes custom-made upper and lower trays and a kit of 10 Polanight Whitening gel tubes. This tray whitening system has been well researched over recent years, as well as being tried and tested by us, and has been proven to work safely. Due to the quality of the product and the precise fit of the trays, this system is more effective and predictable than over-the-counter teeth whitening kits. The whitening trays are made of clear plastic, with a thickness of 0.75 mm. They’re discrete, and are barely noticeable while being worn.
Teeth whitening treatments offered by non-dentists are known to contain industrial-based products that have not been properly researched in order to determine their long-term effects on teeth and gums. The GDC (General Dental Council) has ruled that it is illegal for anyone other than a dentist to perform teeth whitening procedures.
1. Phone, email, or pop into the practice to make a 15-minute appointment.
2. Come in for your appointment. We’ll talk you through the whitening process and decide whether or not it’s suitable for you. If you decide that you would like to proceed we’ll take impressions of your teeth, from which the whitening trays will be made.
3. You’ll need another appointment a week later, during which we’ll fit the whitening trays, give you your kit, and provide step-by-step instructions on how to use it. And that’s it – you’re ready to get started!
Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners specifically manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. Every 2 weeks the current set of aligners is replaced by the next set, so that over time, little by little, week by week, your teeth move, until they have straightened into the final position prescribed by your dental practitioner. Each aligner is made of a thin, medical-grade polymer. We use 3D computer technology, enabling you to view your individual treatment plan from beginning to end. So far 1.4 million people have had Invisalign treatment – with amazing results!
A fixed brace is an orthodontic appliance which cannot be removed from the mouth by the patient. Amongst teenagers, fixed braces are commonly known as “train tracks” which can be used to treat children and adults alike.
Fixed braces are one of the most effective ways of straightening teeth. They can be used in combination with removable or functional braces and while a fair number of patients benefit from more than one type of brace, most will have fixed braces.
Yes. We aim to fill the majority of cavities with tooth-coloured fillings, although in some cases it may not be possible. Tooth-coloured fillings are natural-looking and they blend in seamlessly. A variety of shades and opacities are available, allowing your dentist to match the filling with your natural tooth and thus mimic a normal appearance.
This type of filling can also be used to restore chipped or broken teeth at the front of the mouth. When tooth-coloured fillings are used for this purpose it is often referred to as dental bonding.
The procedure involves placing layers of white (tooth-coloured) composite bonding material and then setting each layer with a special light. The composite is made of a synthetic resin that contains particles of glass. It has a mouldable consistency which allows your dentist to shape it. Once in place the filling is smoothed and adjusted to give the perfect bite. When set, the composite provides a hard-wearing and natural-looking filling.
When restoring front teeth your dentist will slowly build up the anatomy of your tooth using a range of tooth-coloured bonding materials. This procedure provides a natural-looking result that blends in well with your other teeth.
