Meet The Whole Tooth Team

Dr Vimal Patel BChD
Principal Dentist and Clinical Director

Vimal qualified as a dentist at the University of Leeds and has been working as a dentist since 1993. Vimal has overall responsibility for leading the Whole Tooth team, but also enjoys seeing patients. His calm, relaxed approach combined with his cheeky sense of humour immediately puts patients at ease. Vimal is committed to providing high quality dental care using the most minimally invasive techniques.

Christiaan Liebenberg BChD

Christiaan studied in South Africa and qualified as a dentist in 1989. As one of our most experienced dentists, Christiaan has a vast amount of knowledge and has seen many dental complex dental cases over the years. Christiaan enjoys working with patients to improve their smiles whilst making every visit a stress-free experience.

Joanna Stafford BDS

After graduating from Newcastle Dental School in 2002, Joanna initially worked as an associate in a general mixed dental practice in Teesside, Cleveland for 5 years. Joanna has been an associate dentist at Whole Tooth since April 2007. Joanna has a special interest in family dentistry and also has qualifications in cosmetic dentistry and aesthetic restorative dentistry as well as Invisalign.

Amrita Bhogal BDS (Birm) MFDS RCSed

Since qualifying from the University of Birmingham in 2006, Amrita has enjoyed working as a family dentist. She is a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons with a postgraduate qualification in Dental Education. Amrita now also specialises in facial aesthetics and skin care, offering a natural approach in enhancing a patient’s beauty and gains much pride from seeing a patient’s confidence grow as a result of her work.

Dr Bijal Sisodia- Shah is a dentist who is passionate about making a difference to her patients through her empathetic approach in providing bespoke dentistry.  She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and has invested in further clinical training to enhance her skills in oral surgery and aesthetic / cosmetic dentistry. She especially enjoys treating children to ensure their first experiences of coming to the dentist are positive and stress free.
After completing her vocational training in general dental practice, she continued her training further as a senior house officer and clinical fellow at The Northampton General Hospital  & Kettering General Hospital in the field of oral & maxillofacial surgery.
She is currently completing Totally Aesthetics course and is qualified in providing short term orthodontics using Invisalign and CFAST.  She enjoys creating wonderful aesthetic results with “invisible fillings” replacing silver fillings, restoring missing teeth with natural-looking dentures and bridges, and by providing beautiful crowns and veneers.

Amar has completed his specialist training in Endodontics at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital and obtained his MEndo qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. His passion lies in treating patients with complex diagnostic and endodontic problems. His training has given him extensive experience in treating complex endodontic issues, dealing with traumatic injuries to teeth, provision of non-surgical primary root canal treatment, root canal re-treatments and surgical endodontic, all using a strong evidence-based foundation and biological understanding. Amar has a keen interest in providing a patient-centred approach to his dentistry and recognises the importance of being able to talk to his patients and make them feel at ease.  Dr Ruben Garcia is an internationally recognised Specialist in Periodontics. He is a consultant and clinical supervisor in Periodontics at Guy’s and St Tomas’ Hospital. He is currently focusing his research on the latest surgical techniques to maximise aesthetics in dental implants as part of his PhD.

He qualified as a dentist at the University of Madrid and then gained an MClinDent in Periodontology at the renown Eastman Dental Institute (UCL) as well as an international accreditation from the European Federation of Periodontology. Since then, he has worked in private practice and hospital settings as well as focusing on research as part of his PhD. He is also a Consultant in Periodontics at Guy’s Hospital. Dr Garcia has wide experience in periodontal treatment, including non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases including conventional and regenerative periodontal surgery, periodontal plastic/aesthetic surgery and alveolar bone augmentation procedures. In addition, he has wide experience in the placement of dental implants, including complex cases that require bone augmentation procedures and/or sinus lift.

Ram Challa

Ram performs oral surgery for our patients when required. Ram also works at Milton Keynes Hospital Oral Surgery Department, giving him a vast amount of experience in a range of procedures and some complex dental cases. Ram is known for his gentle nature, ensuring that every patient is at ease throughout their treatment. He also provides sedation for very nervous patients that may need a little extra support during their dental work.

I qualified as a dental nurse in March 2004 working in a private Central London practice. After getting married and having two amazing children, I decided to further pursue my career and in September 2016 I joined The Eastman Dental Hospital to train as a Dental Hygienist. I qualified in June 2018 and look forward to my career ahead. I enjoy seeing and making a difference by improving patient’s oral health.

I enjoy my family time visiting museums, zoos and theatres and to relax my mind I attend a weekly Pilates class.

Dershna is part of the management team and her key role is ensuring all accounting matters are up-to-date. Dershna is also a qualified dental nurse and has a complete understanding of the dental industry, making her experience invaluable to the practice. Dershna is friendly and personable and hence occasionally she also provides cover on reception to deal with any patient enquiries.

Kelly ensures the seamless running of the practice, both in front and behind the scenes. Kelly is responsible for keeping the practice up-to-date with the latest guidelines, legal & compliance matters. She also makes sure that the practice evolves alongside the latest medical and technological advancements in dentistry and always keeps the patients’ best interests at heart. Her previous dental skills are still in use when coordinating patient treatments, as well as assisting patients with any financial matters.

Clinical Manager

Emma manages the clinical aspects of the day-to-day running of the practice. Emma is also an experienced dental nurse and supports the lead nurses and rest of the clinical team at Whole Tooth. She also has qualifications in radiography and sedation. She ensures the highest standards of infection control are met and that the surgeries are maintained effectively. Emma will be shortly leaving on maternity leave.

Kirsty is an experienced member of our nursing team. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2012 and completed her radiography qualification in 2015. Kirsty is meticulous in her approach,making her the ideal person to be our radiography lead alongside Emma and leads our nursing team with Stacey. She also looks after the making of bespoke whitening kits for our patients.

Stacey qualified as a dental nurse in 2008 and has since completed further qualifications in dental implant nursing and dental radiography. Stacey looks after our implant, periodontal and orthodontic patients. She also leads our nursing team and works alongside Emma and Kirsty to ensure high clinical standards.

Hollie started working at Whole Tooth in 2016 and is one of our dental nurses. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and works closely with Amrita Bhogal, specialising in facial aesthetics and is developing a keen interest in this specialist area. She coordinates all our facial aesthetics patients and ensure that they are well looked after.

Lisa is a dental nurse here at the practice. Her main role is to make sure that every patient receives the best care and attention from the moment they walk into the surgery, making sure they are comfortable during treatments and supporting the dentist.

Jenny is a trainee dental nurse and so far is finding dentistry to be an interesting and fascinating industry to be working in. Jenny is already developing a keen interest in dental surgery and is hoping to specialise in this area in the future.

Emma joined the practice in 2018 and is a great addition to our nursing team.


Laura is part of our reception team and works closely alongside Ellis and Katy. Her role involves greeting and booking in patients on arrival, dealing with telephone enquiries and completing any paperwork required from patients, regarding treatment plans and consent forms.


Katy is a receptionist here at Whole Tooth and loves meeting and greeting all our patients. She is  always happy to help with whatever she can and makes our patients feel very welcome and at ease.
