We offer a range of general treatments for patients that require immediate attention to a problem they may be experiencing with their teeth. This may have been noticed due to discomfort or pain experienced by a patient, or by one of our dentists during a routine check-up.
At Whole Tooth you can rest assured that we will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and gums and discuss the best treatment plan for you before starting any procedure.
If you have a dental emergency, we will do our very best to fit you in and treat you as soon as possible, so that we can at least alleviate your symptoms if you do require further treatment.
Every patient’s oral health is as important to us as it is to you, and so we use the latest technology, premium quality products and of course highly trained dental professionals to offer you the best care possible.
You may need a filling if a tooth has broken or decayed. We use white fillings matched to your existing tooth colour, giving a more natural look that blends with your other teeth.
The filling is made of a synthetic resin composite and is extremely hardwearing. The filling is shaped to match the correct height of the damaged tooth and then smoothed to give a natural and comfortable ‘bite’ when you are eating.
Sometimes a tooth has a very large cavity, or may be weak or broken. In this case we may recommend that a crown is fitted to the tooth, which completely encloses the tooth, giving protection and restoring functionality.
A bridge is a simple solution if there is a single tooth missing. A false tooth is fitted in the gap and attached to the teeth either side of the gap, preventing teeth from slanting inwards and causing food to be trapped that may then cause gum disease or tooth decay.
If there are multiple teeth missing, it may be better to create a bespoke fitted denture to replace the missing teeth and restore the full use of your mouth for eating and drinking. Your dentist will be able to advise you on the best choice of denture to suit your lifestyle and needs.
At Whole Tooth we always do our best to save a tooth if at all possible, but if it becomes necessary to remove a tooth, which can be for a number of reasons, then we will make sure that you are comfortable and pain-free and offer you the correct advice to minimise the impact of the lost tooth.
If you lose a tooth for any reason, you will of course have a gap left. Sometimes this does not cause any further problems, but the gap may put additional strain on the teeth surrounding the space and may even affect your ‘bite’. Eventually the teeth may slowly lean in at an angle, creating a hard to reach space for cleaning and where food can become compacted.
A denture is a simple and effective way of replacing single or multiple teeth, giving you back your chewing functionality. At Whole Tooth your dentist will be able to advise you on the best type of denture to help your situation and if needed we may be able to add additional teeth to an existing denture.
Looking after the health of your gums is just as important as your teeth and regular visits to the hygienist will help to ensure that your oral health is the best it can be for life.
As well as cleaning and polishing your teeth with specialist equipment that you wouldn’t have at home, the hygienist can help you between dental visits by showing you how to use cleaning aids and improvements in your daily routine, so that you can help yourself as much as possible to prevent complications needing lengthy dental treatments.
